When it comes to cladding thickness, there is often confusion. It pays to know your BMT form your TCT. BMT= Base Metal Thickness, the true thickness of the steel in millimeters. TCT= Total Coated Thickness, is the thickness of the steel (BMT) plus the thickness of the paint or coating.
At SuperShed we only use the thicker, 0.42mmBMT for wall cladding. This is the equivalent of 0.47TCT and it’s a lot more rigid and quicker to sheet. (Most others manufacturers only use 0.35BMT).What roof pitches are available?TOP^
